I have no ease, I have no quietness; I cannot rest; turmoil has come upon me.”
Does God listen to his cry when distress overtakes him?
But when I hoped for good, trouble came; when I expected light, then darkness came.
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered:
If I say, “My bed will comfort me, my couch will ease my complaint,”
then you scare me with dreams and terrify me with visions,
O Lord, for the sake of your reputation, revive me! Because of your justice, rescue me from trouble!
