But if only God would speak, if only he would open his lips against you,
For you have said, ‘My teaching is flawless, and I am pure in your sight.’
and reveal to you the secrets of wisdom – for true wisdom has two sides – so that you would know that God has forgiven some of your sins.
“If only I had someone to hear me! Here is my signature – let the Almighty answer me! If only I had an indictment that my accuser had written.
Would you indeed annul my justice? Would you declare me guilty so that you might be right?
