Tell the innocent it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.

Far be it from you to do such a thing – to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

Then observers will say, “Yes indeed, the godly are rewarded! Yes indeed, there is a God who judges in the earth!”

So God treated the midwives well, and the people multiplied and became very strong.

Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the speech of the wicked conceals violence.

A person will be satisfied with good from the fruit of his words, and the work of his hands will be rendered to him.

Calamity pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love its use will eat its fruit.

Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people – for they stand in fear before him.

No weapon forged to be used against you will succeed; you will refute everyone who tries to accuse you. This is what the Lord will do for his servants – I will vindicate them,” says the Lord.

The Lord said, “Jerusalem, I will surely send you away for your own good. I will surely bring the enemy upon you in a time of trouble and distress.

But I will punish you as your deeds deserve,’ says the Lord. ‘I will set fire to your palace; it will burn up everything around it.’”

Does it make you any more of a king that you outstrip everyone else in building with cedar? Just think about your father. He was content that he had food and drink. He did what was just and right. So things went well with him.

I also explicitly commanded them: “Obey me. If you do, I will be your God and you will be my people. Live exactly the way I tell you and things will go well with you.”

The person who sins is the one who will die. A son will not suffer for his father’s iniquity, and a father will not suffer for his son’s iniquity; the righteous person will be judged according to his righteousness, and the wicked person according to his wickedness.

The Lord said to him, “Go through the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of the people who moan and groan over all the abominations practiced in it.”

The earth will become desolate because of what its inhabitants have done.

Seek the Lord’s favor, all you humble people of the land who have obeyed his commands! Strive to do what is right! Strive to be humble! Maybe you will be protected on the day of the Lord’s angry judgment.

Then once more you will see that I make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not.

So the king said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’

You must not eat it so that it may go well with you and your children after you; you will be doing what is right in the Lord’s sight.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.
