Hebrews 4:7

So God again ordains a certain day, “Today,” speaking through David after so long a time, as in the words quoted before, “O, that today you would listen as he speaks! Do not harden your hearts.”

In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites left Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, during the month Ziv (the second month), he began building the Lord’s temple.

For he is our God; we are the people of his pasture, the sheep he owns. Today, if only you would obey him!

He said to them, “How then does David by the Spirit call him ‘Lord,’ saying,

David himself, by the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’

For David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand,

“Brothers, I can speak confidently to you about our forefather David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

David by foreseeing this spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did his body experience decay.

So they began to leave, unable to agree among themselves, after Paul made one last statement: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah

As it says, “Oh, that today you would listen as he speaks! Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
