Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that would be spoken.

You made known to them your holy Sabbath; you issued commandments, statutes, and law to them through Moses your servant.

He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

When Israel saw the great power that the Lord had exercised over the Egyptians, they feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and in his servant Moses.

This is what Moses did, according to all the Lord had commanded him – so he did.

My servant Moses is not like this; he is faithful in all my house.

“Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their food at the proper time?

His master answered, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You have been faithful in a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’

The Lord replied, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things written about himself in all the scriptures.

Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”

You study the scriptures thoroughly because you think in them you possess eternal life, and it is these same scriptures that testify about me,

They set a day to meet with him, and they came to him where he was staying in even greater numbers. From morning until evening he explained things to them, testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus from both the law of Moses and the prophets.

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed –

Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.

“O, Lord God, you have begun to show me your greatness and strength. (What god in heaven or earth can rival your works and mighty deeds?)

So Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in the land of Moab as the Lord had said.

I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,

After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,

who is faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses was also in God’s house.

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

The place where they serve is a sketch and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary, just as Moses was warned by God as he was about to complete the tabernacle. For he says, “See that you make everything according to the design shown to you on the mountain.”

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands – the representation of the true sanctuary – but into heaven itself, and he appears now in God’s presence for us.

until the Lord gives your brothers a place like yours to settle and they conquer the land the Lord your God is ready to hand over to them. Then you may go back to your allotted land and occupy the land Moses the Lord’s servant assigned you east of the Jordan.”

“Moses my servant is dead. Get ready! Cross the Jordan River! Lead these people into the land which I am ready to hand over to them.

Make sure you are very strong and brave! Carefully obey all the law my servant Moses charged you to keep! Do not swerve from it to the right or to the left, so that you may be successful in all you do.

just as Moses the Lord’s servant had commanded the Israelites. As described in the law scroll of Moses, it was made with uncut stones untouched by an iron tool. They offered burnt sacrifices on it and sacrificed tokens of peace.

All the people, rulers, leaders, and judges were standing on either side of the ark, in front of the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord. Both resident foreigners and native Israelites were there. Half the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and the other half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the Lord’s servant had previously instructed to them to do for the formal blessing ceremony.

They sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: “Great and astounding are your deeds, Lord God, the All-Powerful! Just and true are your ways, King over the nations!
