When you gather in the crop, give one-fifth of it to Pharaoh, and the rest will be yours for seed for the fields and for you to eat, including those in your households and your little children.”

It goes well for the one who generously lends money, and conducts his business honestly.

How blessed is the one who treats the poor properly! When trouble comes, the Lord delivers him.

“‘Any tithe of the land, from the grain of the land or from the fruit of the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.

All the tithe of herd or flock, everything which passes under the rod, the tenth one will be holy to the Lord.

See, I have given the Levites all the tithes in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they perform – the service of the tent of meeting.

You must be certain to tithe all the produce of your seed that comes from the field year after year.

When you finish tithing all your income in the third year (the year of tithing), you must give it to the Levites, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows so that they may eat to their satisfaction in your villages.
