The man and his wife were both naked, but they were not ashamed.

And the Lord God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

That is why I am terrified in his presence; when I consider, I am afraid because of him.

Moses saw that the people were running wild, for Aaron had let them get completely out of control, causing derision from their enemies.

Sinners are afraid in Zion; panic grips the godless. They say, ‘Who among us can coexist with destructive fire? Who among us can coexist with unquenchable fire?’

Let your private parts be exposed! Your genitals will be on display! I will get revenge; I will not have pity on anyone,”

Whom are you worried about? Whom do you fear, that you would act so deceitfully and not remember me or think about me? Because I have been silent for so long, you are not afraid of me.

But now, why should we die, because this intense fire will consume us! If we keep hearing the voice of the Lord our God we will die!

that if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience and knows all things.

(Look! I will come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays alert and does not lose his clothes so that he will not have to walk around naked and his shameful condition be seen.)
