Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father’s household to the land that I will show you.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. And that man was pure and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.

“Can you discover the essence of God? Can you find out the perfection of the Almighty?

Our God is in heaven! He does whatever he pleases!

I will serve the Lord in the land of the living.

The Lord’s loyal followers receive his guidance, and he reveals his covenantal demands to them.

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name ‘the Lord’ I was not known to them.

The one who conducts himself in integrity will live securely, but the one who behaves perversely will be found out.

the oracle of the one who hears the words of God, and who knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, although falling flat on the ground with eyes open:

Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, but for God all things are possible.”

So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

They were both righteous in the sight of God, following all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly.

Paul looked directly at the council and said, “Brothers, I have lived my life with a clear conscience before God to this day.”

This is the reason I do my best to always have a clear conscience toward God and toward people.

Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think,

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God who is unbiased and takes no bribe,

You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

I also call on you to love the Lord your God, to obey him and be loyal to him, for he gives you life and enables you to live continually in the land the Lord promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me.

So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.

So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
