Then the Lord’s angel said to her, “Return to your mistress and submit to her authority.

If the anger of the ruler flares up against you, do not resign from your position, for a calm response can undo great offenses.

King Zedekiah said to them, “Very well, you can do what you want with him. For I cannot do anything to stop you.”

So now we are in your power. Do to us what you think is good and appropriate.

Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as the weaker partners and show them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life. In this way nothing will hinder your prayers.
