For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ.

Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?

For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; you must acknowledge the greatness of our God.

(for he is a merciful God), he will not let you down or destroy you, for he cannot forget the covenant with your ancestors that he confirmed by oath to them.

but I show covenant faithfulness to the thousands who choose me and keep my commandments.

Think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and you have seen the Lord’s purpose, that the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
