The Lord commanded us to obey all these statutes and to revere him so that it may always go well for us and he may preserve us, as he has to this day.

May the Lord protect him and save his life! May he be blessed in the land! Do not turn him over to his enemies!

The Lord supports him on his sickbed; you completely heal him from his illness.

He preserves our lives and does not allow our feet to slip.

Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you so that you do not sin.”

The reward for humility and fearing the Lord is riches and honor and life.

If you are wise, you are wise to your own advantage, but if you are a mocker, you alone must bear it.

Tell the innocent it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.

I will give them a single-minded purpose to live in a way that always shows respect for me. They will want to do that for their own good and the good of the children who descend from them.

But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Jesus said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”

For Moses writes about the righteousness that is by the law: “The one who does these things will live by them.”

Now, Israel, pay attention to the statutes and ordinances I am about to teach you, so that you might live and go on to enter and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

But you who remained faithful to the Lord your God are still alive to this very day, every one of you.

and that you may so revere the Lord your God that you will keep all his statutes and commandments that I am giving you – you, your children, and your grandchildren – all your lives, to prolong your days.

He delivered us from there so that he could give us the land he had promised our ancestors.

You must keep carefully all these commandments I am giving you today so that you may live, increase in number, and go in and occupy the land that the Lord promised to your ancestors.

So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. He did this to teach you that humankind cannot live by bread alone, but also by everything that comes from the Lord’s mouth.
