“Because you violently slaughtered your relatives, the people of Jacob, shame will cover you, and you will be destroyed forever.

So you must love the resident foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

You must not hate an Edomite, for he is your relative; you must not hate an Egyptian, for you lived as a foreigner in his land.

When you go out as an army against your enemies, guard yourselves against anything impure.

Then they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David. They gave him bread to eat and water to drink.
