Deuteronomy 18:18

I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command.

The Lord makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it: “You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.”

“I am about to send my messenger, who will clear the way before me. Indeed, the Lord you are seeking will suddenly come to his temple, and the messenger of the covenant, whom you long for, is certainly coming,” says the Lord who rules over all.

Then Moses cried to the Lord, “Heal her now, O God.”

Then the Lord met Balaam and put a message in his mouth and said, “Return to Balak, and speak what I tell you.”

He said to them, “What things?” “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene,” they replied, “a man who, with his powerful deeds and words, proved to be a prophet before God and all the people;

So they asked John, “Why then are you baptizing if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the law, and the prophets also wrote about – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

The one who rejects me and does not accept my words has a judge; the word I have spoken will judge him at the last day.

Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you.

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you – from your fellow Israelites; you must listen to him.

The Lord was king over Jeshurun, when the leaders of the people assembled, the tribes of Israel together.

No prophet ever again arose in Israel like Moses, who knew the Lord face to face.

(I was standing between the Lord and you at that time to reveal to you the message of the Lord, because you were afraid of the fire and would not go up the mountain.) He said:

For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human,

accordingly Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
