Therefore they will now be the first to go into exile, and the religious banquets where they sprawl on couches will end.

Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s angry judgment. The whole earth will be consumed by his fiery wrath. Indeed, he will bring terrifying destruction on all who live on the earth.”

For what does it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?

Gilead stayed put beyond the Jordan River. As for Dan – why did he seek temporary employment in the shipyards? Asher remained on the seacoast, he stayed by his harbors.
