Then I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
He said, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She replied, “I’m running away from my mistress, Sarai.”
Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am!” Abraham replied.
But the Lord’s angel called to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am!” he answered.
But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”
When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from within the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”
This is what the Lord says: “What fault could your ancestors have possibly found in me that they strayed so far from me? They paid allegiance to worthless idols, and so became worthless to me.
“So, once more I will state my case against you,” says the Lord. “I will also state it against your children and grandchildren.
Then he will answer them, ‘I tell you the truth, just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’
He asked, “Why? What wrong has he done?” But they shouted more insistently, “Crucify him!”
As I was en route and near Damascus, about noon a very bright light from heaven suddenly flashed around me.
I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ He said to me, ‘I am Jesus the Nazarene, whom you are persecuting.’

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,
Then the Lord came and stood nearby, calling as he had previously done, “Samuel! Samuel!” Samuel replied, “Speak, for your servant is listening!”
