There are many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were written down, I suppose the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

He commanded us to preach to the people and to warn them that he is the one appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead.

Both Judas and Silas, who were prophets themselves, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with a long speech.

Then Paul went back upstairs, and after he had broken bread and eaten, he talked with them a long time, until dawn. Then he left.

His people have been unfaithful to him; they have not acted like his children – this is their sin. They are a perverse and deceitful generation.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world

As you know, we treated each one of you as a father treats his own children,

Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

Through Silvanus, whom I know to be a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.
