Whenever they persecute you in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

So when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in human form!”

In Lystra sat a man who could not use his feet, lame from birth, who had never walked.

After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return and visit the brothers in every town where we proclaimed the word of the Lord to see how they are doing.”

but Saul learned of their plot against him. They were also watching the city gates day and night so that they could kill him.

as well as the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all.
