Acts 13:25

But while John was completing his mission, he said repeatedly, ‘What do you think I am? I am not he. But look, one is coming after me. I am not worthy to untie the sandals on his feet!’

“I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am – I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

He proclaimed, “One more powerful than I am is coming after me; I am not worthy to bend down and untie the strap of his sandals.

On the next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God.”

Gazing at Jesus as he walked by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to complete his work.

The person who speaks on his own authority desires to receive honor for himself; the one who desires the honor of the one who sent him is a man of integrity, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

For David, after he had served God’s purpose in his own generation, died, was buried with his ancestors, and experienced decay,

Paul said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

But I do not consider my life worth anything to myself, so that I may finish my task and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.

For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake.

I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!

When they have completed their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war on them and conquer them and kill them.
