About three o’clock one afternoon he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, “Cornelius.”

During the evening, morning, and noontime I will lament and moan, and he will hear me.

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time for prayer, at three o’clock in the afternoon.

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said,

Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias,” and he replied, “Here I am, Lord.”

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Thus he became so far better than the angels as he has inherited a name superior to theirs.
