May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my imprisonment.

Now may the Lord show you true kindness! I also will reward you, because you have done this deed.

I have had great joy and encouragement because of your love, for the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

For in fact you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly had a better and lasting possession.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.

Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Listen to me! Each of you should return to your mother’s home!May the Lord show youthe same kind of devotion that you have shown to your deceased husbands and to me!
