Wicked men will be wiped out, but those who rely on the Lord are the ones who will possess the land.

Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! For he is the one who gives me confidence.

A person’s folly subverts his way, and his heart rages against the Lord.

If an alarm sounds in a city, do people not fear? If disaster overtakes a city, is the Lord not responsible?

For the message is a witness to what is decreed; it gives reliable testimony about how matters will turn out. Even if the message is not fulfilled right away, wait patiently; for it will certainly come to pass – it will not arrive late.

Then Jesus told them a parable to show them they should always pray and not lose heart.
