He died just as the Lord had prophesied through Elijah. In the second year of the reign of King Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat over Judah, Ahaziah’s brother Jehoram replaced him as king of Israel, because he had no son.

The jar of flour was never empty and the jug of oil never ran out, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.

When they went back and told him, he said, “The Lord’s word through his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, has come to pass. He warned, ‘In the plot of land at Jezreel, dogs will devour Jezebel’s flesh.

His son Jehoshaphat replaced him as king and solidified his rule over Israel.

So Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in the land of Moab as the Lord had said.
