2 John 1:12

Though I have many other things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink, but I hope to come visit you and speak face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

With him I will speak face to face, openly, and not in riddles; and he will see the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”

I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.

But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experience my joy completed in themselves.

The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my joy, and it is complete.

when I go to Spain. For I hope to visit you when I pass through and that you will help me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while.

As I remember your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy.

At the same time also, prepare a place for me to stay, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you.

I especially ask you to pray that I may be restored to you very soon.

You should know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon, he will be with me when I see you.

Thus we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to the deeds he is doing – the bringing of unjustified charges against us with evil words! And not being content with that, he not only refuses to welcome the brothers himself, but hinders the people who want to do so and throws them out of the church!
