My point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.

The wicked person earns deceitful wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a genuine reward.

The one who is gracious to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will repay him for his good deed.

A generous person will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.

Send your grain overseas, for after many days you will get a return.

Sow your seed in the morning, and do not stop working until the evening; for you do not know which activity will succeed – whether this one or that one, or whether both will prosper equally.

Give, and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use will be the measure you receive.”

Now I mean this, that each of you is saying, “I am with Paul,” or “I am with Apollos,” or “I am with Cephas,” or “I am with Christ.”

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

And I say this, brothers and sisters: The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

Now God who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your supply of seed and will cause the harvest of your righteousness to grow.

Therefore I thought it necessary to urge these brothers to go to you in advance and to arrange ahead of time the generous contribution you had promised, so this may be ready as a generous gift and not as something you feel forced to do.

What I am saying is this: The law that came four hundred thirty years later does not cancel a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to invalidate the promise.

But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.

So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.

I say this so that no one will deceive you through arguments that sound reasonable.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.
