When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the Lord’s splendor filled the temple.

When the sun had gone down and it was dark, a smoking firepot with a flaming torch passed between the animal parts.

Then you will invoke the name of your god, and I will invoke the name of the Lord. The god who responds with fire will demonstrate that he is the true God.” All the people responded, “This will be a fair test.”

O Lord, I love the temple where you live, the place where your splendor is revealed.

Now Mount Sinai was completely covered with smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire, and its smoke went up like the smoke of a great furnace, and the whole mountain shook violently.

There I will meet with the Israelites, and it will be set apart as holy by my glory.

Before they even call out, I will respond; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Then a wind lifted me up and brought me to the inner court; I watched the glory of the Lord filling the temple.

Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. As I watched, I noticed the glory of the Lord filling the Lord’s temple, and I threw myself face down.

While I was still speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and presenting my request before the lord my God concerning his holy mountain –

The offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in former times and years past.

When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God courageously.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb.

The Lord’s messenger touched the meat and the unleavened bread with the tip of his staff. Fire flared up from the rock and consumed the meat and unleavened bread. The Lord’s messenger then disappeared.
