He said, “The Lord God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled what he promised my father David.

He will build me a house, and I will make his dynasty permanent.

David praised the Lord before the entire assembly: “O Lord God of our father Israel, you deserve praise forevermore!

David told the entire assembly: “Praise the Lord your God!” So the entire assembly praised the Lord God of their ancestors; they bowed down and stretched out flat on the ground before the Lord and the king.

You have kept your word to your servant, my father David; this very day you have fulfilled what you promised.

Now, O Lord God of Israel, may the promise you made to your servant David be realized.

Then the king turned around and pronounced a blessing over the whole Israelite assembly as they stood there.

He told David, ‘Since the day I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from all the tribes of Israel to build a temple in which to live. Nor did I choose a man as leader of my people Israel.

Ezra blessed the lord, the great God, and all the people replied “Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the lord with their faces to the ground.

The Lord God of Israel deserves praise in the future and forevermore! We agree! We agree!

Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Exalt the one who rides on the clouds! For the Lord is his name! Rejoice before him!

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ.
