For the scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and, “The worker deserves his pay.”

You must not oppress your neighbor or commit robbery against him. You must not withhold the wages of the hired laborer overnight until morning.

no bag for the journey, or an extra tunic, or sandals or staff, for the worker deserves his provisions.

Stay in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you, for the worker deserves his pay. Do not move around from house to house.

For the scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew! Do you not know what the scripture says about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?

For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

For the scripture says to Pharaoh: “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may demonstrate my power in you, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”

In the same way the Lord commanded those who proclaim the gospel to receive their living by the gospel.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.”

You must not muzzle your ox when it is treading grain.

Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”?
