Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

Realize now that the Lord has chosen you to build a temple as his sanctuary. Be strong and do it!”

He told the judges, “Be careful what you do, for you are not judging for men, but for the Lord, who will be with you when you make judicial decisions.

“Pay attention to do everything I have told you, and do not even mention the names of other gods – do not let them be heard on your lips.

In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.”

“You must watch out for yourselves. You will be handed over to councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand before governors and kings because of me, as a witness to them.

“But be on your guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day close down upon you suddenly like a trap.

I have experienced help from God to this day, and so I stand testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except what the prophets and Moses said was going to happen:

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them!

For since in the wisdom of God the world by its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased to save those who believe by the foolishness of preaching.

To the weak I became weak in order to gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that by all means I may save some.

So I endure all things for the sake of those chosen by God, that they too may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus and its eternal glory.

You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you

Preach the message, be ready whether it is convenient or not, reprove, rebuke, exhort with complete patience and instruction.

He must hold firmly to the faithful message as it has been taught, so that he will be able to give exhortation in such healthy teaching and correct those who speak against it.

So communicate these things with the sort of exhortation or rebuke that carries full authority. Don’t let anyone look down on you.

showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,

I, Paul, have written this letter with my own hand: I will repay it. I could also mention that you owe me your very self.

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled.

Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals, which have never benefited those who participated in them.
