He says, “Do not be stubborn like they were at Meribah, like they were that day at Massah in the wilderness,

So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh and told him, “Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews: ‘How long do you refuse to humble yourself before me? Release my people so that they may serve me!

And as for me, I am going to harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will come after them, that I may be honored because of Pharaoh and his army and his chariots and his horsemen.

The Egyptians chased them and followed them into the middle of the sea – all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.

The Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders I have put under your control. But I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.

Yet Pharaoh’s heart became hard, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had predicted.

The Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to release the people.

But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not listen to them, just as the Lord had predicted.

But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also and did not release the people.

But for this purpose I have caused you to stand: to show you my strength, and so that my name may be declared in all the earth.

When Pharaoh saw that the rain and hail and thunder ceased, he sinned again: both he and his servants hardened their hearts.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!

But exhort one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” that none of you may become hardened by sin’s deception.
