And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The Lord replied, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

And he summoned ten of his slaves, gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business with these until I come back.’

and Joanna the wife of Cuza (Herod’s household manager), Susanna, and many others who provided for them out of their own resources.

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.

For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been in vain. In fact, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master-builder I laid a foundation, but someone else builds on it. And each one must be careful how he builds.

For who concedes you any superiority? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as though you did not?

Now because we are fellow workers, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

For it is not necessary for me to write you about this service to the saints,

To me – less than the least of all the saints – this grace was given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ

It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that day! And you know very well all the ways he served me in Ephesus.

For the overseer must be blameless as one entrusted with God’s work, not arrogant, not prone to anger, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy for gain.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.

And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Through Silvanus, whom I know to be a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.
