Three times a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar he had built for the Lord, burning incense along with them before the Lord. He made the temple his official worship place.

So Solomon finished building the temple.

In the eleventh year, in the month Bul (the eighth month) the temple was completed in accordance with all its specifications and blueprints. It took seven years to build.

He finished building the temple and covered it with rafters and boards made of cedar.

The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron and his descendants were chosen on a permanent basis to consecrate the most holy items, to offer sacrifices before the Lord, to serve him, and to praise his name.

My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to serve in his presence and offer sacrifices.”

This will happen because they have abandoned me and offered sacrifices to other gods, angering me with all the idols they have made. My anger will ignite against this place and will not be extinguished!’”

All the work ordered by Solomon was completed, from the day the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid until it was finished; the Lord’s temple was completed.

Aaron is to burn sweet incense on it morning by morning; when he attends to the lamps he is to burn incense.

At three times in the year all your men must appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel.

Three times a year all your males must appear before the Lord your God in the place he chooses for the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Temporary Shelters; and they must not appear before him empty-handed.

Every year Israelite women commemorate the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite for four days.
