He said, “The Lord God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled what he promised my father David.

When David finished offering the burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.

So now, O Lord God, make this promise you have made about your servant and his family a permanent reality. Do as you promised,

“Go, tell my servant David: ‘This is what the Lord says: Do you really intend to build a house for me to live in?

May the Lord God of Israel be praised, in the future and forevermore. Then all the people said, “We agree! Praise the Lord!”

He will build me a house, and I will make his dynasty permanent.

He will build a temple to honor me; he will become my son, and I will become his father. I will grant to his dynasty permanent rule over Israel.’

David praised the Lord before the entire assembly: “O Lord God of our father Israel, you deserve praise forevermore!

David told the entire assembly: “Praise the Lord your God!” So the entire assembly praised the Lord God of their ancestors; they bowed down and stretched out flat on the ground before the Lord and the king.

On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berachah, where they praised the Lord. So that place is called the Valley of Berachah to this very day.

The Levites – Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah – said, “Stand up and bless the lord your God!” “May you be blessed, O lord our God, from age to age. May your glorious name be blessed; may it be lifted up above all blessing and praise.

But we will praise the Lord now and forevermore. Praise the Lord!

I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky.

The Lord God of Israel deserves praise in the future and forevermore! We agree! We agree!

But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” Know for certain that the Lord has spoken.

Then David said to Abigail, “Praised be the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you this day to meet me!
