But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been in vain. In fact, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

Now because we are fellow workers, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

(for he who empowered Peter for his apostleship to the circumcised also empowered me for my apostleship to the Gentiles)

for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of his good pleasure – is God.

I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me.

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who labor among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you,

In fact this is why we work hard and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of believers.
