When David finished offering burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the Lord’s name.

He blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth.

But now give back the man’s wife. Indeed he is a prophet and he will pray for you; thus you will live. But if you don’t give her back, know that you will surely die along with all who belong to you.”

When David finished offering the burnt sacrifices and peace offerings, he pronounced a blessing over the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.

They brought the ark of God and put it in the middle of the tent David had pitched for it. Then they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

He then handed out to each Israelite man and woman a loaf of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake.

When the sacrifices were completed, the king and all who were with him bowed down and worshiped.

The priests and Levites got up and pronounced blessings on the people. The Lord responded favorably to them as their prayers reached his holy dwelling place in heaven.

It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, the grain offering, and the drink offering at festivals, on the new moons and Sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he will provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings to make atonement for the house of Israel.

“‘If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd he must present it as a flawless male; he must present it at the entrance of the Meeting Tent for its acceptance before the Lord.

Now without dispute the inferior is blessed by the superior,

Joshua rewarded them and sent them on their way; they returned to their homes.
