A trap for them is hidden on the ground, right in their path.

Pay them back for what they have done, for their evil deeds. Pay them back for what they have done; give them their reward.

Fools will die because they refuse to listen; they will be destroyed because they do not care.

The Lord will pay back his enemies for what they have done. He will show his anger to those who were against him; he will punish the people in faraway places as they deserve.

In the same way I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born,” says the Lord. “If I cause you the pain, I will not stop you from giving birth to your new nation,” says your God.

Then Jesus said to Peter, “Go away from me, Satan! You are not helping me! You don’t care about the things of God, but only about the things people think are important.”

“But God said to him, ‘Foolish man! Tonight your life will be taken from you. So who will get those things you have prepared for yourself?’

For that reason we should stop judging each other. We must make up our minds not to do anything that will make another Christian sin.

I will punish those who do wrong; I will repay them. Soon their foot will slip, because their day of trouble is near, and their punishment will come quickly.”

The teaching God spoke through angels was shown to be true, and anyone who did not follow it or obey it received the punishment that was earned.
