They had turned against the words of God and had refused the advice of God Most High.

I praise the Lord because he advises me. Even at night, I feel his leading.

The Lord says, “I will make you wise and show you where to go. I will guide you and watch over you.

You guide me with your advice, and later you will receive me in honor.

You did not follow my advice and did not listen when I corrected you.

You did not accept my advice, and you rejected my correction.

Listen to advice and accept correction, and in the end you will be wise.

Learn the truth and never reject it. Get wisdom, self-control, and understanding.

Obey the king’s command, because you made a promise to God.

People will see your nakedness; they will see your shame. I will punish you; I will punish every one of you.”

The Lord says, “All you who are thirsty, come and drink. Those of you who do not have money, come, buy and eat! Come buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

I will pull your skirts up over your face so everyone will see your shame.

Many people who have already died will live again. Some of them will wake up to have life forever, but some will wake up to find shame and disgrace forever.

Pass on your way, naked and ashamed, you who live in Shaphir. Those who live in Zaanan won’t come out. The people in Beth Ezel will cry, but they will not give you any support.

“I am against you, Nineveh,” says the Lord All-Powerful. “I will pull your dress up over your face and show the nations your nakedness and the kingdoms your shame.

Like someone who heats and purifies silver, he will purify the Levites and make them pure like gold and silver. Then they will bring offerings to the Lord in the right way.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. One day a man found the treasure, and then he hid it in the field again. He was so happy that he went and sold everything he owned to buy that field.

You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. You know that Christ was rich, but for you he became poor so that by his becoming poor you might become rich.

Tell the rich people to do good, to be rich in doing good deeds, to be generous and ready to share.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters! God chose the poor in the world to be rich with faith and to receive the kingdom God promised to those who love him.

These troubles come to prove that your faith is pure. This purity of faith is worth more than gold, which can be proved to be pure by fire but will ruin. But the purity of your faith will bring you praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is shown to you.

“Listen! I will come as a thief comes! Blessed are those who stay awake and keep their clothes on so that they will not walk around naked and have people see their shame.”

Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these people dressed in white robes? Where did they come from?”
