When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man. He put his right hand on me and said, “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.

The Lord, the king of Israel, is the Lord All-Powerful, who saves Israel. This is what he says: “I am the beginning and the end. I am the only God.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Who caused this to happen? Who has controlled history since the beginning? I, the Lord, am the one. I was here at the beginning, and I will be here when all things are finished.”

“People of Jacob, listen to me. People of Israel, I have called you to be my people. I am God; I am the beginning and the end.
