So they hanged Haman on the platform he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king was not so angry anymore.

Esther said, “Our enemy and foe is this wicked Haman!” Then Haman was filled with terror before the king and queen.

The happiness of evil people is brief, and the joy of the wicked lasts only a moment.

God, you are my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why am I sad and troubled by my enemies?

They make fun of others and speak evil; proudly they speak of hurting others.

Lord, how long will this last? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like a fire?

Lord God All-Powerful, how long will you be angry at the prayers of your people?

Lord, how long will this go on? Will you ignore us forever? How long will your anger burn like a fire?

“You cry, ‘Sword of the Lord, how long will you keep fighting? Return to your holder. Stop and be still.’

Lord, how long must I ask for help and you ignore me? I cry out to you about violence, but you do not save us!

These souls shouted in a loud voice, “Holy and true Lord, how long until you judge the people of the earth and punish them for killing us?”
