Then, at the gates of Jerusalem, I will praise you; I will rejoice because you saved me.

No one can tell all the mighty things the Lord has done; no one can speak all his praise.

I trust in your love. My heart is happy because you saved me.

and we will shout for joy when you succeed, and we will raise a flag in the name of our God. May the Lord give you all that you ask for.

Lord, the king rejoices because of your strength; he is so happy when you save him!

Then I will tell my brothers and sisters about you; I will praise you in the public meeting.

Lord, I praise you in the great meeting of your people; these worshipers will see me do what I promised.

The Lord said, “I have seen the troubles my people have suffered in Egypt, and I have heard their cries when the Egyptian slave masters hurt them. I am concerned about their pain,

I have heard the cries of the people of Israel, and I have seen the way the Egyptians have made life hard for them.

You will receive your salvation with joy as you would draw water from a well.

So this is what the Lord has said against Sennacherib: The people of Jerusalem hate you and make fun of you; the people of Jerusalem laugh at you as you run away.

The Lord is speaking to all the faraway lands: “Tell the people of Jerusalem, ‘Look, your Savior is coming. He is bringing your reward to you; he is bringing his payment with him.’ ”

“Get up and beat them, people of Jerusalem. I will make you strong as if you had horns of iron and hoofs of bronze. You will beat many nations into small pieces and give their wealth to the Lord, their treasure to the Lord of all the earth.”

But I will still be glad in the Lord; I will rejoice in God my Savior.
