My spirit is broken; the days of my life are almost gone. The grave is waiting for me.

Lord, answer me quickly, because I am getting weak. Don’t turn away from me, or I will be like those who are dead.

Lord, my Rock, I call out to you for help. Do not be deaf to me. If you are silent, I will be like those in the grave.

I said, “What good will it do if I die or if I go down to the grave? Dust cannot praise you; it cannot speak about your truth.

I am like a piece of a broken pot. I am forgotten as if I were dead.

When I went down to where the mountains of the sea start to rise, I thought I was locked in this prison forever, but you saved me from the pit of death, Lord my God.

When we were unable to help ourselves, at the right time, Christ died for us, although we were living against God.

Truly, in our own hearts we believed we would die. But this happened so we would not trust in ourselves but in God, who raises people from the dead.

It is true that he was weak when he was killed on the cross, but he lives now by God’s power. It is true that we are weak in Christ, but for you we will be alive in Christ by God’s power.
