The Lord is king. Let the peoples shake with fear. He sits between the gold creatures with wings. Let the earth shake.

He takes care of his people like a shepherd. He gathers them like lambs in his arms and carries them close to him. He gently leads the mothers of the lambs.

“Jerusalem, get up and shine, because your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines on you.

I pray that the God of peace will give you every good thing you need so you can do what he wants. You were like sheep that wandered away, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Then when Christ, the Chief Shepherd, comes, you will get a glorious crown that will never lose its beauty.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God is its light, and the Lamb is the city’s lamp.

So the people sent men to Shiloh. They brought back the Ark of the Agreement with the Lord All-Powerful, who sits between the gold creatures with wings. Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the Ark.
