God, why have you rejected us for so long? Why are you angry with us, the sheep of your pasture?

The Lord will not forgive them. His anger will be like a burning fire against those people, and all the curses written in this book will come on them. The Lord will destroy any memory of them on the earth.

Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him; we are his people, the sheep he tends.

We are your people, the sheep of your flock. We will thank you always; forever and ever we will praise you.

because he is our God and we are the people he takes care of, the sheep that he tends. Today listen to what he says:

But you have rejected us and shamed us. You don’t march with our armies anymore.

“Don’t fear, little flock, because your Father wants to give you the kingdom.

You, my human sheep, are the sheep I care for, and I am your God, says the Lord God.’ ”

This is what the Lord says: “Only if people can measure the sky above and learn the secrets of the earth below, will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of what they have done,” says the Lord.

“How terrible it will be for the leaders of Judah, who are scattering and destroying my people,” says the Lord.

Lord, how long will this last? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like a fire?

“Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he never be kind to us again?

Why am I so sad? Why am I so upset? I should put my hope in God and keep praising him, my Savior and my God.

As surely as I live, my flock has been caught and eaten by all the wild animals, because the flock has no shepherd. The shepherds did not search for my flock. No, they fed themselves instead of my flock.

My people, listen to my teaching; listen to what I say.

God, surely you have rejected us; you do not go out with our armies.

God, you have rejected us and scattered us. You have been angry, but please come back to us.

I say to God, my Rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why am I sad and troubled by my enemies?”

Smoke came out of his nose, and burning fire came out of his mouth. Burning coals went before him.

Lord, why are you so far away? Why do you hide when there is trouble?

But Moses begged the Lord his God and said, “Lord, don’t let your anger destroy your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with your great power and strength.

I will throw away the rest of my people who are left. I will give them to their enemies, and they will be robbed by all their enemies,

The God of gods, the Lord, speaks. He calls the earth from the rising to the setting sun.

Is his love gone forever? Has he stopped speaking for all time?

You have fed your people with tears; you have made them drink many tears.

Won’t you give us life again? Your people would rejoice in you.

But Lord, you are our father. We are like clay, and you are the potter; your hands made us all.

or have you completely rejected us? Are you so angry with us?
