My body and my mind may become weak, but God is my strength. He is mine forever.
Even if God kills me, I have hope in him; I will still defend my ways to his face.
Lord, you are my share in life; I have promised to obey your words.
On the day I called to you, you answered me. You made me strong and brave.
Lord, I cry out to you. I say, “You are my protection. You are all I want in this life.”
The Lord is my rock, my protection, my Savior. My God is my rock. I can run to him for safety. He is my shield and my saving strength, my defender.
Wait for the Lord’s help. Be strong and brave, and wait for the Lord’s help.
Troubles have surrounded me; there are too many to count. My sins have caught me so that I cannot see a way to escape. I have more sins than hairs on my head, and I have lost my courage.
God, you are my God. I search for you. I thirst for you like someone in a dry, empty land where there is no water.
I want more than anything to be in the courtyards of the Lord’s Temple. My whole being wants to be with the living God.
I say to myself, “The Lord is mine, so I hope in him.”
To me the only important thing about living is Christ, and dying would be profit for me.
I know I must soon leave this body, as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me.
Those who win the victory will receive this, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.
