“But, God, can you really live here on the earth? The sky and the highest place in heaven cannot contain you. Surely this house which I have built cannot contain you.

In the beginning you made the earth, and your hands made the skies.

You build your room above the clouds. You make the clouds your chariot, and you ride on the wings of the wind.

He rode a creature with wings and flew. He raced on the wings of the wind.

Nations tremble and kingdoms shake. God shouts and the earth crumbles.

Everything on earth, shout with joy to God!

Sing about his glory! Make his praise glorious!

Sing to God; sing praises to his name. Prepare the way for him who rides through the desert, whose name is the Lord. Rejoice before him.

Lord, your kingdom was set up long ago; you are everlasting.

The sound of the wings of the living creatures was heard all the way to the outer courtyard. It was like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

The Lord owns the world and everything in it—the heavens, even the highest heavens, are his.

“There is no one like the God of Israel, who rides through the skies to help you, who rides on the clouds in his majesty.

Then the two prophets heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Come up here!” And they went up into heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet. And there were loud voices in heaven, saying: “The power to rule the world now belongs to our Lord and his Christ, and he will rule forever and ever.”

Then God’s temple in heaven was opened. The Ark that holds the agreement God gave to his people could be seen in his temple. Then there were flashes of lightning, noises, thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.
