The Lord is my rock, my protection, my Savior. My God is my rock. I can run to him for safety. He is my shield and my saving strength, my defender.

Then each ruler will be like a shelter from the wind, like a safe place in a storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like a cool shadow from a large rock in a hot land.

Why am I so sad? Why am I so upset? I should put my hope in God and keep praising him, my Savior and my God.

Being full of pain, Jesus prayed even harder. His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

Lord, hear me begging for fairness; listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, because I speak the truth.
