You are the Lord God All-Powerful, the God of Israel. Arise and punish those people. Do not give those traitors any mercy. Selah

It is not that God failed to keep his promise to them. But only some of the people of Israel are truly God’s people,

So you must show mercy to others, or God will not show mercy to you when he judges you. But the person who shows mercy can stand without fear at the judgment.
