Evil people are trapped by their own sin, but good people can sing and be happy.

He will send hot coals and burning sulfur on the wicked. A whirlwind is what they will get.

Shouts of joy and victory come from the tents of those who do right: “The Lord has done powerful things.”

I will cover her priests with salvation, and those who worship me will really sing for joy.

Light shines on those who do right; joy belongs to those who are honest.

Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, because he is worthy of great honor. He has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.

A good person can look forward to happiness, but an evil person can expect nothing.

Evil people are trapped by their evil talk, but good people stay out of trouble.

Evil people’s lives are like paths covered with thorns and traps. People who guard themselves don’t have such problems.

An evil man will be caught in his wicked ways; the ropes of his sins will tie him up.

No one knows what will happen next. Like a fish caught in a net, or a bird caught in a trap, people are trapped by evil when it suddenly falls on them.

And they may wake up and escape from the trap of the devil, who catches them to do what he wants.

My brothers and sisters, when you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy,

You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You cannot see him now, but you believe in him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory.

We write this to you so we may be full of joy.

Then the Israelites turned and began to fight. The Benjaminites were terrified because they knew that disaster was coming to them.
