Christ gave you a special gift that is still in you, so you do not need any other teacher. His gift teaches you about everything, and it is true, not false. So continue to live in Christ, as his gift taught you.

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to everyone and will give you wisdom without criticizing you.

You have the gift that the Holy One gave you, so you all know the truth.

Stupid people don’t know these things, and fools don’t understand.

If people choose to do what God wants, they will know that my teaching comes from God and not from me.

Foolish people cannot understand wisdom. They have nothing to say in a discussion.

Wise people’s lives get better and better. They avoid whatever would cause their death.

I have more understanding than the elders, because I follow your orders.

The Lord tells his secrets to those who respect him; he tells them about his agreement.

The Lord says, “My people are foolish. They do not know me. They are stupid children; they don’t understand. They are skillful at doing evil, but they don’t know how to do good.”

Then you will understand what is honest and fair and what is the good and right thing to do.

Then the Lord said, “Go and tell this to the people: ‘You will listen and listen, but you will not understand. You will look and look, but you will not learn.’

Those people don’t know what they are doing. They don’t understand! It is as if their eyes are covered so they can’t see. Their minds don’t understand.

Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, because they are mine forever.

An ox knows its master, and a donkey knows where its owner feeds it, but the people of Israel do not know me; my people do not understand.”

“The people don’t know how to do what is right,” says the Lord. “Their strong buildings are filled with treasures they took by force from others.”
