Don’t promise to pay what someone else owes, and don’t guarantee anyone’s loan.

Whoever guarantees to pay somebody else’s loan will suffer. It is safer to avoid such promises.

It is not wise to promise to pay what your neighbor owes.

Take the coat of someone who promises to pay a stranger’s loan, and keep it until he pays what the stranger owes.
