The Lord saw that the human beings on the earth were very wicked and that everything they thought about was evil.

The Lord was pleased with these sacrifices and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of human beings. Their thoughts are evil even when they are young, but I will never again destroy every living thing on the earth as I did this time.

Good people speak with wisdom, and they say what is fair.

Careless words stab like a sword, but wise words bring healing.

As a tree gives fruit, healing words give life, but dishonest words crush the spirit.

Kings like honest people; they value someone who speaks the truth.

There is gold and plenty of rubies, but only a few people speak with knowledge.

Selfish people are always worrying about how much the food costs. They tell you, “Eat and drink,” but they don’t really mean it.

What I give is better than the finest gold, better than the purest silver.

“More than anything else, a person’s mind is evil and cannot be healed. Who can understand it?
